The Spectacular Spidermanseries has currently stopped production with a renewal dependent upon the ratings for season 2 on the U.S. Disney XD channel and the sales of the DVDs.Greg Weisman has stated that Scorpion and Hobgoblin will make their appearance.[1]
The Spectacular Spiderman Extreme is rumored to be the renewed series that Weisman is planning to produce in the future that will follow up with the cliffhangers of the Spectacular Spiderman season 2. In this series, Spiderman and Venom will settle their rivalry one last time and then the two will become allies throughout the rest of the series. Venom and Tombstone are expected to appear in the opening sequence as main characters.
Some voice actors that enroled in The Adventures of Voice Acting are highly expected to voice several characters in the series.
