Shocker is a fictonal villian in Marvel comics.The character first appeared in The Amazing Spider-man # 46 (March 1967) and was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

Born in NYC, he had a great mind skilled in engineering and inventing. Instead of using these wonderful talents to grab a job, he used them for armed robberies. He was eventually captured and arrested, but in his cell he created a pair of vibro shock units that are able to project a concentrated blast of air that vibrates at an intense frequency. This allows the Shocker to both effectively throw long range vibrational punches, as well as throw shock waves which vibrate the structure of something in order to weaken or destroy it. Holding the thumb triggers down for an extended period of time increases the intensity, speed, and even spread of the air blasts.
He broke out of prison with his units and retained the name 'Shocker. When he and Spider-Man first met, Peter had a critically damaged arm from an earlier battle with The Lizard, so Schultz had easily defeated him. Although months later they confront each other again, this time Spidey claimining victory.
