After discovering that Manhattan is under attack by symbiotes, Peter believes Venom is responsible and searches for him, while also either helping Nightcrawler evacuate the city, or helping Green Goblin to set up bombs to kill symbiotes. After arriving at a symbiote hive, Peter discover that Venom was actually trying to stop the invasion, and defeats the symbiote leader, with his outcome depending on who he helped.
If he helped Nightcrawler twice or both him and Green Goblin once, Peter saves Manhattan, and its citizens start praising him. However, if he had helped Green Goblin twice, he ends up becoming the new symbiote leader, with the infected citizens worshipping him.
