History

Spider-Man

Norman Osborn and Dr. Stromm were taking a tour of investers, including the US military, around OSCORP industries, demonstrating their experimental glider and performance enchancing drugs. However, Dr. Stromm reveals that that the drug was unsafe, and would have to be taken back to formula. The investors cancel the deal, which led to Osborn testing the chemicals on himself. The drugs did increase his strength, speed, etc. but, in a fit of rage, he killed Dr. Stromm. He donned an armoured suit, and, using his glider, flew to Quest Aerospace, destroyed their experimental Exo-Skeleton and killed several people, including several Quest Aerospace scientists, along with General Slocumm, one of the military investors who had cancelled the deal with OSCORP.

Osborn later learns of the OSCORP board's decision to sell the company to Quest Aerospace, as well as their decision to cut him from the company. In retaliation, Osborn, again in the Green Goblin persona, assasinates them at the OSCORP World Unity Fair, before being driven away by Spiderman.

At the Daily Bugle, Osborn paralyzes Spiderman and takes him to place where he offers a partnership, but Spidey refuses.

Later, at the Osborn and Parker's Thanksgiving dinner, Osborn manages to deduce Spiderman's identity by seeing an injury Osborn himself caused on Peter, and, now armed with this crucial information, Osborn attacks Aunt May, leaving her hospitalised.

A heartbroken Harry returns, angry about Mary Jane rejectng him. Harry tells Norman abour how Peter has been in love with Mary Jane for many years, with reveals Spiderman's greatest weakness. Osborn holds Mary Jane and a Roosevelt Island Tram car full of children captive at the Queensboro bridge. He forces Spiderman to choose who to save, by dropping both the tram and Mary Jane. Spiderman manages to save both parties, while Osborn is pelted by civilians on the bridge, showing their loyalty to Spiderman. Spiderman, having to hold up the tram car, is grabbed by Osborn, and flung into an abaondoned building. Spiderman is injured by one of Osborn hand-held bombs, which allows Osborn to pummel Spiderman into submission. When Osborn boasts of how he will kill later kill Mary Jane, an infuriated Spiderman manages to overpower Osborn, and unmasks him.

Osborn begs for forgiveness, but, unbeknownst to them both, the Goblin personality attempts to kill Spiderman with the glider. Spiderman manages to evade the glider, which instead impales Osborn, fatally wounding him. Osborn's last words before his death were for Spiderman to promise not to tell Harry about the Green Goblin. Spider-Man took Osborn's body back to the mansion, but when Harry saw him next to his dead father, he was full of anger and blamed the Web Slinger vowing revenge.
