Norman Osborn's Six, better known as the Ultimate Six, is a team consisting of super villains from Spider-Man rogues gallery formed by the Green Goblin as a evil version of the Ultimates.
History[]
Formation[]
After escaping from the Triskelion, the Green Goblin, Sandman, Doctor Octopus, Kraven, and Electro attacked their former captors Nick Fury and the Ultimates. The Green Goblin also recruited Spider-Man as the group's sixth member, through blackmail, saying that he was holding his Aunt May hostage.
However, when Peter finds out from Captain America that Aunt May is safe in S.H.I.E.L.D. custody, he turned on the five, and helps defeat them.
Re-birth[]
The group re-formed with the goal of killing their shared nemesis, Spider-Man. In replacement of Spider-Man they had the Vulture as the sixth member. The group then sought out the Vulture's former employer, the Tinkerer, in search of new weapons they could use against Spider-Man. The Tinkerer complied with the six's demands by upgrading the Vulture's suit and a set of blasters and knives.
Norman eventually kills Otto in an argument over who created Spider-Man, by dealing a blow to him that sends him falling to his death out a window. The remaining members of the group head to Peter's residence.
The Death of Spider-Man[]
When the group arrive at Peter's residence, they find Spider-Man ready for them, having received a call from Mary Jane warning him the group escaped and killed Otto. Peter battles the group outside as his neighbors watch in horror.
Peter uses a fire-hydrant to short out Electro and this shocks Sandman and Kraven (knocking Kraven and Electro out). However, Electro gets up shortly after and continues his assault on Peter with Sandman and Vulture.
Aunt May is called and told her nephew is Spider-Man and is being attacked outside their house. She comes and shoots Electro, killing him. However, he shorts out one more time, shocking Sandman and Vulture, rendering them unconscious.
Norman comes and tries to throw a truck at the newly reunited Peter and Mary Jane, but Peter pulls Mary Jane to safety and the two kiss for the last time.
Peter takes the truck and smashes Norman with it-twice. Unfortunately, Peter is unable to escape before the truck explodes, and the explosion kills him.
Disbandment and Status[]
Following Peter's death, the six's surviving members; Sandman, Kraven, Vulture, and Electro, were taken into police custody and subsequently incarcerated.
Trivia[]
- Despite being referred to as the Ultimate Six, only five supervillains were originally on the team; Spider-Man was counted as the sixth member due to Norman Osborn's plans to recruit him via blackmail.
