So, with several deaths occuring in the series, some main images may need to be changed. My problem is that with all of the sudden deaths, I feel like there will be some amazing resurection at the end of the series. Should we change things AS SOON as they perish, or should we wait until we are sure that they are truly dead? This also goes with the Status section in the infobox. Thoughts?
i would refrain from adding the deceased category to the pages until age of ultron is over. due to the way age of ultron book 5 ended with wolverine stating he was going to the past to kill hank pym before he could invent ultron which ties in to the solicit synopsis marvel relased for book 7 staing that a new marvel universe will be created. the solicit cover shows doctor strange in his classic costume again, wolverine in his 90's costume, hulk and thing have multiple scars, captain america looks like nick fury, cyclops is alive again and has only 1 eye and has a weird new hair style, and ms. marvel has a new outfit. we really can't be sure of anything until its all over.
Great. In an effort to make us like Octo-Spider, they've succeeded in assassinating the characters of both Peter and Otto. Seriously, who is behind the mask now? Neither of them talk like that.
Well, the top link has better art, at least. Otto seems to be a little more in character there, but that's not saying much lately. The second link... I fail to see how promising to anger the fans is a selling point. Amazing Spider-Man #700 made me angry enough to swear off the comic. How can you top that?
Marvel probably sees that doing crazy things spikes sales, and promising to upset us, will make us buy the comic and in turn, something crazy will happen, making them more money. I mean, ASM #700 was in the Top 5 of best selling comics of 2012 after all.
Honestly, this is starting to feel like a repeat of the Clone Saga. The one saving grace that monstrosity had was giving us Kaine and Ben. I can't think of anything positive to come from the so-called "Superior Spider-Man".
I noticed that you marked that page for deletion. I'm.... still confused on how it even relates to Spider-Man so, you can delete it as far as I'm concerned.
Also, I'm heading out of town for a couple days. I'll be back Sunday, but it might be kind of late. I won't have access to a computer, so I'll be completely blind to wiki happenings. Make sure the others know, and if anything huge happens, send me a message so that I'll be aware when I return.
I'll be sure to tell them. On the page issue, I discussed this with Dalek once before. His justification was that they played a part in the Fear Itself storyline, which involved Spider-Man. Personally, I'm of the belief that we shouldn't make team articles unless they have worked closely with a member of the Spider-Family (like the Fantastic Four) or are regular foes of the Spider-Family (like the Sinister Six).
hello tobalth, I would recommend watching these videos released by marvel if you need a quick catch up on recent events in the comics. Hope it proves usefull.
hey tobalth, I highly recommend you watch this documentary. it is made by the history channel, has keith david as the narrator, and it covers the history of comic book superheros up until the mid 2000s. it is very informative and it is inspired me to go deeper into comic book lore then I ever did before. I hope you enjoy and I bet you can come up with some pretty good did you knows for the main page after watching this.
Hey, can you find anything about this character: Peter_Parker_(Earth-92131) Can't find him on Marvel wiki. Fanon? The description seems to be basically a description of the Earth-616 Spidey. It's not written in the same way, it just seems to be a basic overview.
Pay it no mind. Some of the designations can be hard to remember. Besides, one of my jobs is to make sure we're nothing but factual. You were right to bring it to me.
That category is very over used. It should be for things that exist within the real world. Such as actors, objects, etc. I don't think it should apply to movies or TV shows.
Okay, that's a subject for a different thread. Sonic, the category says its for "films" and "TV shows" so...If you think it shouldn't, then there's alot of work to be done.
It's entirely unnecessary now. For people, we have "Actors". For movies, we have "Movies", though it should really be called "Films". For shows, we have "Television". For games, we have "Video Games". I've been pushing for streamlining categories for some time now. This is a perfect example of why I'm doing it.
