Kraven the Hunter is a Spider-Man villain in the Marvel Comics universe. There has been more than one Kraven the Hunter, but the original was Sergei Kravenoff. He was a famous Hunter and wanted to capture Spider-Man. When he completed that goal, he killed himself. Then, two of his sons took up his role. His wife was a voodoo priestess named Calypso.

[edit] Fictional Charater Biography

He was born in Stalingrad, Russia. He did not like using bows and arrows or guns, like other hunters use. Instead, he used his bare hands. His ultimate goal was to deafeat Spider-Man. At the end of his life, he seemingly shot him dead and buried him. Spider-Man was not so, and dead he dug his way out of the grave. Kraven shot himself having no more goals in life.

Kraven's superhuman speed, strength, endurance, and reflexes were caused by mystical potions. The potions also slowed his aging process. But, even without the potions, Kraven has the physical abilites of an olympic athlete.

After Sergei's Death, two of his sons, Vladimir and Alyosha Kravinoff have taken up his role.

  • In this series, Kraven isn't a hunter, he taking his half brother's place as Kravwn the Chameleon, he first captured by Spider Man and S.H.I.E.l.D. when he attacked a American Embassy next a Roman Military Post in France
