- The highlights of this episode were the Peter Parker parts.
They really nailed everything and anything about his storyline, and
it was not only interesting, but entertaining as well. Examples
include:
- The high school portion. The drama between Peter and his classmates was very-well portrayed, with tension very evident between Peter, Gwen, and Harry. Plus, the bullying aspect from Flash Thompson was as decent as ever.
- The Daily Bugle portion: All of Peter's scenes within the Bugle were interesting to watch, especially his relationship with Betty. It's a nice reference back to the original comic series and a decent …

Hey guys. We're nearing the end of April, and it's time we discuss what the featured article and poll will be for May.
I decided to go with something a little unconventional this time...
How do you feel about The Amazing Spider-Man 2?
- Super excited!
- Don't plan on seeing it
- Eh, I guess I'll see it...
- The Amazing Spider-Man is getting a sequel?
You can change anything in there around...it's the best I could come up with.
S.H.I.E.L.D. (Earth-616)?
We have it as a stub, but it seems like it's of decent length to me. And I checked, there's no plagiarism. What do you guys think?
- Black Cat was once gifted with the power to spread bad luck
- Betty Brant was married to Ned Leeds
- Kingpin first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #50 in July of 1967

- The animation was as spectacular as ever.
- The scene in the courtyard of the high school was one of my favorite scenes in the episode. Not only did it provide an awesome Peter/Gwen moment, but it provided the best one-liner in the episode..."You choke like a cat with a hairball".
- The Lizard's design was absolutely gorgeous. While still hearkening back to the Lee-Ditko era, it maintained it's own sense of animated quality and slight originality that I love to see in this show.
- The supporting cast of this episode really got their moments to shine. From Eddie being Spidey's "partner" to Martha and Gwen creating the gene…

Villain(s): Max Dillon/Electro
- Peter's storyline with Liz was both relatable and empathetic. I'm sure we've all been dissed by a snarky, popular cheerleader, but I doubt we've had them fall in love with us. The plot was both interesting and comedic. I especially liked the moment of..."Good idea...I'll call him instead"...after Peter suggested that Liz stop texting Flash. I was disappointed in Liz at the end when she just blatantly dissed Pete in front of her friends, even though it was clear she didn't want to. She clearly still has a lot to learn about right and wrong.
- Electro proved to be a fantastic villain. First of all, I love his design. While …

Hello everyone, I am back to start a series of reviews on the Spectacular Spider-Man animated series. I doubt that you want to be bored with a long introduction, so let's just get right to the subject matter at hand.
- Note: This is an old review from before I got my established format. Next review will be back to normal*
Let's start by going through the episode bit by bit:
- I enjoyed the little scene of Flint Marko and Alex O'Hirn being captured at the beginning, as it was nice to see them cameo before they become the big-bad supervillains that they are meant to.
- Peter's character really shined in the all of the bits where he was concerned with helping his Aunt May. It showed what a kind, compassionate, responsible man he has become. It was also g…

- Solid animation
- The villains being references to old American history was a nice reference and throwback. It really makes the show seem to be more real, while still maintaining that fantastic quality that makes it a superhero cartoon.
- The theme of talking out our feelings over violence was well-done.
- Breaking the fourth wall/Mighty Mugg animation.
- This thing was a freaking toy commercial. From spider-tanks to spider-copters, I have no doubt that the reason this episode was made in the first place was to advertise up and coming Spidey merchandise. It couldn't be more obvious.
- The entire idea of…

- The Sinister Six were very well-done all around. From the specific members to the interactions between them, everyone got a moment to shine along with at least one funny moment, which was nice to see. The tension between the villains was very well-done, as it is apparent that they may not be quite fond of each other, yet want to work together for a common goal; destroying Spider-Man.
-
- Furthermore, I found Doc Ock's portrayal to be a particular stand-out in this episode. He really seemed like he knew precisely what he was doing and knew how to lead a group of supervillains for …

- I liked that Hawkeye was portrayed closer to the movie version of himself, both in design and attitude. He seemed to be a more laid-back, cool kind of Hawkeye, which is exactly how I viewed Hawkeye during The Avengers. Plus, the fact that he called Spidey out on why he has a cycle gains him points in my book. Finally, someone noticed.
- The "spider-friends" were absent for the majority of the episode, which is always a good thing. I always feel like hose characters wear Spidey down and steal the spotlight from him, so not having them in the episode was a nice little plus.

- The relationship between White Tiger and Spider-Man was at its peak in this episode, as was the White Tiger herself. She truly came off as a bada**, yet empathetic character, what with the backstory of her father and everything, The way her relationship with Spider-Man became almost like a cross between mentor-mentee and father-daughter kind of thing was very well-done.

- The idea of a "magic helmet" was very cute and made me feel genuine sympathy for that poor child in need of medical help.
- Otto actually helping the girl and showing compassion actually helped build his character and provide a new level of empathy that had previously not been present.
- The new alliance between Otto and Cardiac was very nicely played, and I definitely approve of it.
- It appears the story of Carlie having suspicions of Otto in Parker's body is not completely dead, as she is seen working on the theory in her home. This is good as it draws some necessary drama to the story.
- Otto in Parker's b…

- The way Electro was defeated was actually kind of smart, and actually made some semblance of sense. That is always a good thing.
- Breaking of the fourth wall/Mighty Mugg animation was as stupid as ever.
- Every single character in this episode was annoying and stupid, and I mean more than usual. I don't know what it was that made this happen, but every single character got on my nerves while I was watching the episode. Yes that includes Spider-Man. That is not good. When Spidey, the star of the show, gets on my nerves, then…

- The origin of the Lizard was nice, as it was Connors attempting to save Spider-Man. That showed that Connors is a compassionate, caring person who is willing to risk everything for others. That is a very fantastic quality and one of the reasons I like the character.
- Once again, the breaking of the fourth-wall/Mighty Muggs animation was as annoying as ever. Honestly, what is the point of it? We don't need Spidey to commentate on everything. Just do it as his own internal monologue; there's…

- Solid, gorgeous animation. On top of that, there was absolutely zero Mighty Mugg animation. That's a definite plus.
- John Jameson was portrayed very well. He was very much like his comic counterpart in that he was nothing like his father and showed appreciation for Spider-Man. On top of that, the Man-Wolf was also very faithful to the comics in that his design looked very much like the original, and his origin was exactly the same.

- The art was well-done once again. I specifically want to point out the scene at the end with a beaten-up Jester and Screwball. The art on that particular page was so well-done that you could clearly make out all of the damage that had been inflicted to them.
- The anti-bullying theme in the issue was well-done. I liked that Otto managed to prove that he can have empathy for others, which improves his character quite a bit in my books.
- It's a very good thing that the Avengers are finally noticing a difference in Spider-Man. One of my biggest problem with the series is that not enough people have been noti…

- Otto using the cops as back-up was a great idea, even though it didn't actually work out the way he wanted it to. Also, him saving the lives of helpless victims and citizens proved that he is learning responsibility. Hopefully, this storyline will continue throughout the coming issues.

- The art in this issue was well-done and well-drawn.
- The plot was intriguing, what with a brand new Sinister Six for Spider-Man to fight. I believe that it was a perfect choice to have Ock/Spider-Man battle multiple villains at once in order to successfully showcase his tactics and abilities.
- Octavius acted just how he should have, with him being a dog to MJ, to almost killing Boomerang. It was truly reminiscent of Doctor Octopus' behavior, and made perfect sense.

Hey everybody, I'm back for my first review of Ultimate Spider-Man. I'm not yet sure if I'm going to go back and review the first season, but I will definitely review the entirety of the second season.
So, without further adieu, I give you my review of "House Arrest".
Let's start with the pros and cons:
Pros:
- The animation was excellent as always. Movements were smooth and the picture was fantastic and clear. Also, the little animation details, like blinking and nudging, were all there. I'm always impressed by that, as that is something that I'd never think to animate.
- Peter Parker/Spider-Man was portrayed much more truly to how he should be. Usually, the show portrays him as an idiotic kid who constantly makes stupid decisions. However, in th…

Most of you probably noticed that I marked this page for deletion. DarkKnight and I agreed to delete a similar page a while back, but when I saw that there were multiple pages, I had to stop and think. How far are we going to go on pages devoted to lists? Poll: Favorite Symbiote? Venom, Carnage, Toxin, Scream, Anti-Venom? There are multiple Symbiotes? I love them all? I don't know. Discuss!
Speaking of not knowing.... Yeah. we need some facts.
James Cameron was originally signed on to direct Spider-Man?
Spider-Man tried to join the Fantastic Four? (Or did we use that one.)
All I got. We're out of time. Discuss! Quickly!

Most of you have already seen this, but it's time we make a permanent decision. I don't take kindly to someone insulting my friends, and in my opinion, his track record is already more than enough for a permanent ban from Spider-Man wiki. In fact...

Tobalth and I discussed that we could use an official schedule for the slider. I have an Idea that Tobalth has agreed to, we just need the rest of you to approve it first, or at least a majority.
The first slide will stay as it is most of the time, only switching for major holidays, or huge Spider-Man wiki events.
The second will change every three months.
The third will change with the Spider-Man media. When something happens media related, we'll change it then.
The last one being reserved for events, will simply change with major events involving Spider-Man.
Any objections? Also, is everyone okay with changing the second slide to Chris Yost?
That is all, Thanks guys.

Greetings, my fellow staff members. Today, I came across several categories that do not fit our category minimum. In one instance, my deletion template was removed, on the grounds that it was a universe category. I ask you, does this mean we can make an exception? I say no. We've said it many times, even prior to the staff's formation, that we must be uniform. Why, then, are we not enforcing our stated policy of having a minimum of seven characters to a category?
I propose that, instead of creating individual categories for each universe, we create a "Minor Universes" category for every one that doesn't fit the minimum. There are a great many pages that simply cannot qualify, as Spider-Man was a mere background character in some universes. …

My fellow staff members. Recently on Chat, Bighead brought up the idea of making a standardized "Appearance" section on each character page. The section would be a simple description of what they look like, and their physical features. To the left, will be a close up of their face. The infobox pictures will be a full body picture, with them in costume, unless I assume, none are available. We simply need to make sure everyone's alright with this before we change the MoS. Over the next few days, I'm going to try to add more infoboxes, and add the appropriate pictures where necessary. Anyone who would like to help me, is more than welcome to. Thanks guys.

Hello, my fellow staff members (and Shadow). After months of dancing around the issue, I think the time is right for us to finally address the most pressing issue on the site: What is notable?
I don't think our standing rule "it has to involve Spider-Man" is nearly clear enough. Why do we need articles for characters who have teamed with Spider-Man only one or two times? Of course, we must note the information, but why do we need an article for the character? Why not simply note the information on the appropriate comic article, or the event article?
I've said it before that we need to ask ourselves "Can this be done some other way?" Every day, I see page, after page, after page being created. I've had to delete several of these new pages. …

We have a serious problem that must be dealt with. More than 40 of our articles are plagiarized. I know that doesn't seem like much compared to the 900 we have, but most of these articles are important. Articles like Miles Morales, Mary Jane Watson, Hawkeye, and Ultimate Spider-Man. Something has to be done about this. I say we make it a priority to be rid of these copied pages.

So, it's February everyone, and you know what that means! A new poll and article. However we have a new section to talk about as well. If you remember, we are going to add a "Did You Know" section. So here are my suggestions:
What is your favorite Spider-Man TV show?
- Ultimate Spider-Man
- Spectacular Spider-Man
- Spider-Man: The New Animated Series
- Spider-Man: Unlimited
- Spider-Man: The Animated Series
John Jonah Jameson (Earth-616)
It's actually a very well put together article.
So, just to clarify, this is just a section of interesting facts about the Spider-Man comic, films, video games and such? If so, then here are my suggestions:
- Peter Parker had a job as a pizza delivery man at the beginning of Spider-Man 2.
- The villain Mysterio started his career a…

Here recently, we have been giving people "temprary admin" rights. It's been happening too much really, I have absolutley nothing against giving admin rights to someone who is going to fix something that needs to be done, once or twice. But really, if someone can simply request admin rights to do something, why not just make them a full admin? It defeats the purpose of having permanent admins at all really. Now, Shadow, WWC, I thank you for all the work you've done, and this has nothing to do with what you've done. I just think we need an official rule for under what circumstances one can become a temporary admin, for how long, and h…

the demogoblin (disambiguation) page was recently deleted and i feel it should be recreated. the reason i say this is that it causes a problem for the goblin disambiguation page. the goblin disambiguation page is used to narrow down the search for the various goblin variations and the demogoblin is one of those variations. we have 3 demogoblins in spider-man and without a disambiguation page we can't do a link that covers all 3 versions on the goblin disambiguation page. it also makes the goblin disambiguation page incomplete.

This isn't really a problem, I just wanted to point out that the badges finally have pictures!!!!! If you guys remember (Bighead and Tobalth) that's been on the blogs since the beginning! Nice to see we're making progress.
